Kirsten Vangsness has worked as an American actor since the early 1990s. Her most well-known role was that of Penelope Garcia, in the popular police procedural crime show Criminal Minds. Kirsten Simone Vangsness also appeared on the two spinoff series Criminal Minds: Beyond Borders' and Criminal Minds: Speculative Behavior. While she is primarily a TV actress but she also has played small parts in films since making her debut in the show business in the year 1998. Her roles have been notable in films such as 'In My Sleep, The Chicago 8", as well as 'Kill Me, Deadly.' She is also a playwright, and has co-written three episodes of Criminal Minds. She's rescued and helped rehabilitate many injured and abandoned kittens.
